  • What is The Table?

    The table is an in home private chef service that gives you your time and energy back to spend on other things that are important.

    We also take care of intimate caterings, parties, and any sort of event you can dream up so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

  • What areas do you service?

    Our weekly private chef services are available in the Portland metro area. There is an extra travel fee for addresses in the suburbs of Portland and Vancouver. We are happy to travel for all other services including private meals, parties, pantry stocking, and retreats.

  • What services do you offer?

    In-Home Private Chef Services . Chef meal preps in your home on a weekly basis.

    Private Sit Down Meals. This includes dinners, brunches, lunches, any meal you have in mind! We cook one meal for a group at your location.

    Parties. This includes small bites, passed appetizers, whatever you have in mind.

  • Why should I use The Table?

    We are expert private chefs with a focus on nutrition for your and your family how you define it. We make it easy to answer the question: what’s for dinner? We take care of the menu based on your preferences, cook and clean for you, then leave you to enjoy your meals.

  • Can I choose my menu?

    We take menu requests the Friday before your service. We choose the menu for your based on your preferences so it’s one less thing for you to have to think about.

  • What are the portions like?

    We create a service plan based on the number of people in your home. Each meal is about 1.5 servings per person. Larger and smaller portions can be accommodate.

  • What are extras?

    Extras are whatever items will best help get you through the week outside of your meals. This includes items such as breakfast burritos, frittatas, muffins, granola, cut up fruit, crudites & dips, chicken tenders, chicken salads, bolognese sauce. There are 2 different items included when you add extras to your menu. If you’d like more, there will be additional costs.

  • Can I buy my own groceries?

    We develop all of our recipes and menus with a grocery list in mind and our chefs are trained to shop so that they have the correct items in appropriate quantities. We keep an exhaustive inventory list of the food items in your home and use them in your recipes. For these reasons, we shop for your service.

  • Can you incorporate CSA items or local, frozen proteins?

    Yes! For an extra fee, we will weave your items into your menu. As long as we have those items in our inventory or you have sent us a list of the items the Friday before your service, we will use them. We partner with Tanager Farm for a weekly CSA.

  • Can you accommodate food allergies?

    Yes! We take all of your allergies and preferences into account in our questionnaire and update your preference file as we go.

  • How long will my weekly service take?

    You can expect your chef to be in your home for 4-8 hours total. This time includes prepping, cooking, packaging, and cleaning. Time varies based on the amount of meals you have chosen.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    We require 1 week’s notice to cancel any service without charge. Within one week, your service is non-refundable. If a chef purchases groceries on your service day and you cancel, you will be charged 100% of your service fee & grocery costs. See our Billing FAQ for our full cancellation policy.

  • Do I have to be home during my weekly service?

    No! We require a door code or a spare key even if you plan on being home.

  • When will my chef arrive?

    Chefs start as early as 9 am and as late as 1pm. Chefs are available 7 days a week.

  • Can I choose my chef?

    We pair the chefs based on availability and family preferences so you have the perfect match. If you are unhappy with the match for any reason, we will do our best to match you with an alternative.

  • What if my chef has to cancel?

    In the rare event your chef has to cancel, we make every effort to reassign you a chef. Depending on the amount of notice, we may need to adjust your meal prep date or time.

  • How much does the weekly service cost?

    Our service fees are as follow:

    3 Meals: $400

    3 Meals + 2 Extras: $450

    4 Meals: $500

    4 Meals + 2 Extras: $550

    5 Meals: $600

    5 Meals + 2 Extras: $650

  • Is there a travel fee?

    Depending on where you are located in the Portland metro, we may add an extra travel cost. This will be discussed in your cost estimate.

  • How much do groceries cost?

    Groceries estimates are based on how many meals and extras you’d like, how many people we will be cooking for, and if you prefer conventional or organic meat and produce.

  • What if I only want 2 meals?

    Any service we preform has a minimum cost of $400.

  • How do I get started?

    Simply fill out our form here and we will contact you with our intake form, send you a weekly service fee & grocery cost estimate, then schedule a kitchen assessment for $100 fee to take inventory and organize your space to get ready for our first service. Then we’ll get to cooking!
